Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Benchmark Mineral Intelligence Limited (“Benchmark”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Benchmark Exchange website (the “Site”).
This policy applies specifically to Benchmark Exchange. Other Benchmark websites and services may use different cookies and technologies and are subject to their own cookie policies.
Our Privacy Policy provides further information about how we collect and use personal data.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be used for purposes such as remembering your preferences, enabling website functionality and understanding how a website is used.
We may also use similar technologies, including temporary browser storage, which can store or access information on your device for similar purposes.
2. How we use cookies
Benchmark Exchange uses a limited number of cookies and similar technologies.
We use them to:
- keep you signed in to your Benchmark Exchange account;
- remember the cookie choices you make;
- operate our cookie consent and preference mechanism; and
- where you have chosen to allow analytics, understand how visitors use the Site so that we can monitor and improve it.
We do not use cookies on Benchmark Exchange for advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking.
3. Your cookie choices
When you first visit the Site, you can choose which categories of cookies and similar technologies you wish to allow through our cookie banner.
Our cookie consent mechanism is provided by CookieScript.
If you do not make a choice, or if you reject analytics cookies, consent-based analytics technologies will not be activated. Cookieless page-view measurement, described in section 4, does not depend on this choice because it does not store or access information on your device.
CookieScript stores your cookie preference so that the Site can remember the choice you have made.
You can review or change your choices at any time, as described in section 8. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
4. Cookies and technologies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies and technologies are required to operate the Site or provide functionality that you have requested.
In particular, CookieScript uses a cookie to remember the cookie preferences you select. This enables us to respect your choices when you continue to use or return to the Site.
When you sign in, your session is kept in your browser’s local storage so that you remain signed in as you move around the Site. It is removed when you sign out. While an invitation or password-reset link is being processed, a temporary entry is also held in your browser’s session storage and is cleared when you close the tab.
These cookies and technologies do not require your consent where they are strictly necessary for the relevant functionality.
Analytics cookies and technologies
If you consent to analytics, we use analytics technologies to help us understand how the Site is being used.
These may collect information about matters such as:
- visits to the Site;
- browsing sessions;
- repeat visits;
- pages or features used; and
- how visitors reached the Site.
We use RudderStack to receive and process analytics events generated through the Site.
Analytics is used to understand the performance and use of Benchmark Exchange and to help us improve the Site. It is not used for advertising or retargeting.
RudderStack analytics is not activated unless you have made the relevant choice through our cookie consent mechanism.
Some temporary browser storage may also be used while analytics events are being transmitted. This storage is short-lived and is used only to support the analytics process.
Cookieless page-view measurement
We use Plausible to count page views and measure overall use of the Site. Plausible does not use cookies and does not store or access information on your device, so it is not controlled through the cookie banner. It records aggregate information such as the page visited, the referring website, and the browser, device type and country. It is not used to identify you, for advertising or for cross-site tracking.
Pages that may carry sign-in details in their address, such as invitation and password-reset links, are excluded from this measurement.
5. Waiting-list submissions
If you choose to join the Benchmark Exchange waiting list, we collect the email address that you submit for the purpose of administering your waiting-list registration and related communications.
Your email address is stored directly by Benchmark and is not shared with RudderStack or any third-party marketing platform. We use SendGrid, our email delivery provider, to send you confirmation and account-related messages about your waiting-list registration.
SendGrid does not operate cookies or other technologies in your browser through the Benchmark Exchange Site.
Joining the waiting list does not change the cookie choices you have made. In particular, analytics cookies will not be activated merely because you submit the waiting-list form if you have not consented to analytics.
Further information about how we use the personal data you provide when joining the waiting list is set out in our Privacy Policy .
6. Service providers
The principal service providers involved in our use of cookies and related Site functionality are:
CookieScript – provides our cookie consent banner and preference-management functionality and helps us remember the cookie choices you make.
RudderStack – receives analytics events where analytics has been enabled. It does not receive the email address submitted through the waiting-list form.
Plausible – provides cookieless page-view measurement. It does not store or access information on your device.
SendGrid – sends confirmation and account-related emails when you join the Benchmark Exchange waiting list. SendGrid does not run within your browser through the Site.
These providers may process information on our behalf in accordance with our arrangements with them and their applicable privacy terms.
7. Technologies we do not use
Benchmark Exchange does not currently use:
- Google Analytics;
- Google Tag Manager;
- Hotjar or similar session-recording tools;
- HubSpot;
- advertising or retargeting cookies or pixels;
- social-media tracking pixels;
- third-party fonts;
- embedded videos, maps or iframes; or
- cross-site or third-party cookies.
If we introduce new cookies, technologies or providers in the future, we will update our consent mechanism and this Cookie Policy as appropriate.
8. How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by deleting the cookie that records your choice through your browser settings. The cookie banner will then be shown again on your next visit, and you can make a new choice.
If you withdraw consent for analytics, we will stop using analytics cookies and technologies on your device and stop processing information through those technologies on the basis of your consent.
You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. The method for doing this varies depending on the browser and device you use.
Please note that deleting the cookie that records your cookie preferences may mean that we need to ask you to make your cookie choices again the next time you visit the Site.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including where we change the technologies or service providers used by Benchmark Exchange.
Where appropriate, we will also ask you to make a new cookie choice if we introduce a new use that requires your consent.
The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
